Q. What age does my child have to be to get into the MISL?
A. Your child must be at least 4 yrs old but not older than 17 yrs old at the start of the season. The MISL usually operates 5 Divisions and a beginners group for the 4yr olds.

Q. What is the format of the MISL? Should I be concerned that my child will become involved in too competitive a league?
A. The MISL is a non-competitive league. It is structured and operated with this philosophy in mind, with the primary goal to develope self confidence, within an athletic environment, and with the overall priority being that the kids have fun. The league is structured around league play followed by play-offs. This is to provide some structure and variety to the play, and affords the opportunity for them to learn that winning is not the number one goal, it is having fun playing the game.

Q. Where is the MISL played, and at what times?
A. The MISL is played in Metcalfe, Ontario. The games & practises are played at any of St.Catherine Catholic School, Metcalfe Public School, Castor Valley School & Osgoode Township High School. If demand requires that the MISL expands then some games & practices may be played in Greely or Osgoode, Ontario. The practices are in the early evenings on Mondays through Fridays, and the games are played on Saturdays starting at 9am, and finishing no later than 3pm except for the E Division which will be played this year on Tuesday Nights. Each Division & Team is provided with a consistent time slot for the Practices & Games with minimal variation from week to week.

Q. What will it cost for my child to play in the MISL, and what will I get for my money?
A. The cost for each child aged 5yrs old or older to Register for the MISL is currently $140. The 4yr olds registering for the Beginners group pay only $100. In return for the Registration fee, your child will be eligible to attend all Practices & Games, and will receive a Shirt which can be kept after the end of the Season. The two seasons have now been combined to create one season that will start in October and will run through to mid-March.
